Our first ever entry into The Best Design Awards

The Best Design Awards are a national award programme organised by the Designers Institute of New Zealand. The Best Awards recognise New Zealand's best graphic, interactive media, product and spatial design.

TGM’s entry was for Mike’s Premium Organic Beer (Whitecliffs Brewery) packaging, a project the design team worked on in late 2009. TGM’s Art Director Craig Jones is absolutely delighted his design and hard work has been recognised in this year’s Best Design Awards.

The packaging was designed to appeal to the beer’s target audience, give a professional look and feel without losing the organic authenticity that is Mike’s. With the help of TGM Design, Mike's has successfully transitioned from being widely perceived as a small back yard brewery to a professional, award winning business that makes great organic beer.

This is the second design award for Mike’s. They also won the BrewNZ Beer Awards Supreme Packaging Award late last year.
