Taranakipine Celebrate Gold

Over the past months TGM Design has completed a range of products for Taranakipine including a full rebrand, printing and signage design. We congratulate the team at Taranakipine on their recent success.

Steve Hofmans from SA Hofmans Carpentry Ltd is a very happy man, after winning his category with a Gold award at the recent Registered Master Builders 2009 House of the Year and RMB Commercial Project Awards. [Category Eighteen - Retail and Business Project, Taranaki Region].

Steve was responsible for building the new Taranakipine office block, and worked closely with the architect and Taranakipine staff to construct the award winning
building that represents much of the products Taranakipine specialise in manufacturing.

The extensive use of Taranakipine products is obvious on approach, Steve points out. “For the exterior we used two different pine claddings – on one side, Bevel
back weatherboards with oversized scribers down the vertical joins; and on the other side, vertical shiplap – profiled weatherboards that were especially run for
this project”.

A line of 200mm x 200mm laminated pine posts housing floor to ceiling pine doors are a feature of the interior and a structural component of the building. The building contains a mix of open plan and individual offices, a board room, staff cafeteria and service rooms. The timber ceiling in the boardroom is another feature that is simple but effective. Making extensive use of glass has added to the unique design, allowing plenty of natural light to enter the building.

Taranakipine are very proud of our new offices and wish to thank all those involved in making our vision come true, however we want to especially congratulate Steve and his team for winning this prestigious award. Steve will now be involved in the National awards to be held later this year.
